Properties: Potassium nitrate is colorless and transparent orthorhombic crystals or powders, granule, with a relative density of 2.109 and a melting point of 334°C. When heated to about 400°C, oxygen is liberated and converted into potassium nitrite, which is decomposed into potassium oxide and nitrogen oxide when heated. Soluble in water, liquid ammonia and glycerin; insoluble in absolute alcohol and ether. It is not easy to deliquesce in the air and is an oxidant.

Application: Mainly used in fine chemical, organic chemical thermal conductive molten salt (melamine, phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, o-phenylphenol anhydride), metal heat treatment, special glass, cigarette paper, also used as a catalyst and mineral processing agent. Fireworks, black gunpowder, matches, fuse, wax core, tobacco, color TV picture tube, medicine, chemical reagent, catalyst, ceramic glaze, glass, compound fertilizer, and foliar spraying fertilizer for economic crops such as flowers, vegetables, fruit trees. In addition, the metallurgical industry and food industry use potassium nitrate as an auxiliary material.

Packaging and storage: Packed in 25 kg plastic-woven sack with polythene inner bag, or according to customers requirements. Store at a ventilated, dry place.
